MS, Chemical Engineering, Seoul National University, 1998

BS, Chemical Engineering, Seoul National University, 1996

Sang Eon Han joined UNM as an Assistant Professor in 2012.  He earned his B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Seoul National University. After that, he worked at LG as a research scientist where his major research field transitioned from fluid mechanics to photonics. With investigation on nanophotonics, he received his Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2009. He pursued his nanophotonics research further at MIT as a Postdoctoral Associate.  His current research interests include light-matter interactions at the nanoscale with applications to solar/thermal energy harvesting.
