BA, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Colorado, 1991

Graves has been a professor at UNM since 2008, when he came to UNM as an Associate Director of the Center for Biomedical Engineering. He came to UNM after serving for nearly ten years at Los Alamos National Laboratory in as a Technical Staff member and as Team Leader of the Optical Spectroscopy and Instrumentation team in the Biosciences Division. He moved to UNM to further his goals in biomedical engineering education and research. His main research goals are to develop revolutionary biomedical tools that make new measurements possible and that make a significant impact on medical care. His educational goals are to educate multidisciplinary students that have broad base in science and engineering to enable them to contribute to critical topics in biomedical engineering.
