Dr. Vanessa Valentin’s research interests are in sustainable infrastructure, with an emphasis on management, project network dynamics and social aspects. In addition, she is interested in studying resilient infrastructure systems and investigating the appropriateness of advanced analytical tools such as system dynamics, agent-based modeling, social networks, econometrics, discrete event simulation, etc. in solving problems for decision-making. As a member of the Hispanic community herself, Dr. Valentin is committed to recruit minority and underrepresented groups to pursue graduate studies.
