A lecturer at the University of New Mexico since 2007, Joel Castellanos has taught introductory, intermediate and advanced undergraduate programming courses in a variety of computer languages. He maintains a high level of involvement in outreach programs for high school teachers and students. Before joining UNM, Joel Castellanos developed computer models and simulations for ASRC Aerospace and Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems. He has developed a number of educational simulations that are currently used in undergraduate university education throughout the world.
