June 20, 2013
UNM Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor Edl Schamiloglu was awarded his 7th DURIP grant as a UNM faculty. This latest grant is in conjunction with collaborators at MIT.
Schamiloglu will receive $115,000 to acquire a Tektronix 12.5 GHz Digital Oscilloscope to support his third Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative (MURI) grant that he received in 2012. The focus of this MURI is to study beam/wave interactions with metamaterial slow wave structures. This brings to $1.3M the total instrumentation funding that Schamiloglu has received to date.
