Zuni Youth Enrichment Project partnership with Civil, SWEFC featured on KUNM
June 2, 2022 - by Kim Delker
KUNM’s University Showcase recently featured a partnership between graduating seniors in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at UNM, who worked with the Zuni Youth Enrichment Project (ZYEP) and UNM’s Southwest Environmental Finance Center. The team worked on a project to develop a solution for flooding in a park that ZYEP help build as part of its work on water harvesting and food sovereignty. Students and their mentors helped find a solution to help the pueblo maintain these important traditions, even in the face of historic drought and climate change.
