Biography
Dr. Hossein-Zadeh joined UNM after three years of postdoctoral research at T. J. Watson Labs of Applied Physics at California Institute of Technology (Caltech). His research interests include photonic/microwave-photonic devices and their application in communication, signal processing, biosensning and fundamental physics. Specifically he works on resonant photonic devices and systems based on high-Q optical Whispering-Gallery microresonators in near-IR and Mid-IR regimes.
