Research Support Office
The School of Engineering Research Support Office is located in Centennial Engineering Center Room 2052.
What we do
The SoE Research Support Office (RSO) provides proposal support to faculty applying for large research grants, as well as financial and operational management assistance for Category 2 Centers. The RSO will eventually grow to offer skilled project management for hire by principal investigators of large grants. This will allow for the School of Engineering to foster career growth for highly qualified and skilled project managers.
Proposal development including:
- Budgets and budget justifications
- Subaward documentation
- Submission portals
- Adherence to funder requirements
- Finding funding
Category 2 Center operational assistance:
- Assist with award oversight
- Purchasing, reimbursements, hiring, etc.
- Monthly reporting
- Projections
- Award closeouts

All faculty planning to submit research proposals are required to submit the Faculty Proposal Support form:
