Want to know what it's really like to study engineering? Come find out.

The University of New Mexico School of Engineering is opening its doors on Nov. 14 so you can explore labs, meet student engineers, and learn about scholarships that could help you get here.

Whether you're still deciding on a major, curious about what engineers actually do, or ready to commit to UNM, this open house is for you. Your families are welcome too.

Walk through active research labs where UNM students are solving real problems in fields like mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, civil engineering, and more. You'll see capstone projects and get a sense of the kind of work you could do as a Lobo Engineer. You'll also meet current students, learn about engineering clubs and competitions, and find out about scholarships and financial aid options.

The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Centennial Engineering Center's Stamm Commons. Tours of the labs and facilities start frequently throughout the event, so you can drop in whenever works for you.

Free parking is available in lots A, B, C, and P. You can also park at the Cornell Parking Structure on Redondo Drive or the Yale Parking Structure off Lomas Boulevard. (Just avoid spaces marked reserved, handicap, fire lanes, or yellow curbs.) Registration is not required. Just show up with your questions.
