Nov. 6 Science on Tap to feature talk on ripples, spills and supernovae

The monthly Science on Tap discussion will be held Nov. 6 and will feature Peter Vorobieff, a professor mechanical engineering at the University of New Mexico, who will engage audiences with a discussion on "From Ripples and Spills to Supernovae."
The event will be held 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Chama River Brewing Co., 4939 Pan American Freeway.
Vorobieff’s primary research interests are in the area of fundamental hydrodynamic instability studies, renewable energy, and advanced experimental techniques. He also serves as associate editor of ASME Journal of Fluids Engineering.
The next Science on Tap will be Dec. 4 and will feature a talk called “Bringing up Baby: The Immunology of Pregnancy” by Victoria Hansen and Rob Miller of the UNM Department of Biology.
