Hongyou Fan, a professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at The University of New Mexico, has been selected for the 2019 Mid-Career Researcher Award by the Materials Research Society.
This award recognizes exceptional achievements in materials research made by those in the middle of their careers, as well as notable leadership in the materials area.
Fan will receive the honor at the 2019 Materials Research Society spring meeting in April in Phoenix.
The award consists of a trophy, a cash prize, and an invited talk exchange with the European Materials Research Society.
Fan is also a National Laboratory Professor at UNM, working with Sandia National Laboratories.
