ROTC internship program looking for participants
January 28, 2021 - by Kim Delker
The 2021 UNM ROTC Cybersecurity Internship, funded by the Office of Naval Research, is looking to hire ROTC cadets to participate in an undergraduate research experience in cybersecurity.
The program was first started in 2020, and some of last year’s cadets will train and mentor the 2021 cadets, in addition to advancing in their depth of cybersecurity research in areas of reservoir computing, cyberphysical vulnerability, augmented reality and machine learning. Students have an opportunity to work alongside graduate students and faculty in the departments of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering; Electrical and Computer Engineering; and Mechanical Engineering. Cadets will be working with Fernando Moreu in Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering and Francesco Sorrentino in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Additional information can be found here or by contacting Fernando Moreu at fmoreu@unm.edu. Those interested should email transcripts and a statement of interest with a subject line of “UNM ROTC cybersecurity internship.”
