Spring events return this year in School of Engineering

After a hiatus due to the pandemic, a variety of events usually held annually at School of Engineering are returning in person this year.

On May 6, the Annual Awards ceremony and luncheon will be held in the Centennial Engineering Center Courtyard. The awards, which celebrate outstanding students, faculty and staff in the school, will begin at 10:30 a.m., with lunch catered by Olympia Café beginning at noon. See flier here.

Immediately following the Annual Awards ceremony is Engineering Expo VII, an event that showcases senior design projects to corporate partners and includes a poster competition and elevator pitch contest. The event will be held in Stamm Commons and the Larrañaga Engineering Auditorium in Centennial Engineering Center. See flier here.

On May 13, the Reunion Luncheon (previously known as Golden Grads) returns, honoring graduates from the classes of 1970-72. The event will be held in Centennial Engineering Center Courtyard. Check-in begins at 11 a.m., with the luncheon starting at 11:30 a.m. and an optional tour of the Dana C. Wood FSAE Lab and Garage at 12:45 p.m. Please RSVP by May 8 to Courtney Holmes at courtg@unm.edu. See flier here.

Finally, the semester ends with the spring 2022 Convocation ceremony on May 14. The ceremony will be held at 2:30 p.m. at University Arena (the Pit). Graduates can sign up at graduation.unm.edu. Those with questions can contact April Davidson at aprild@unm.edu. See flier here.
