Michael Devetsikiotis, professor and chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of New Mexico, is program chair of the national conference of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association (ECEDHA), which will be held at Tamaya Resort and Spa on the Santa Ana Pueblo from March 17-20.
Devetsikiotis has been chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering since coming to UNM in 2016, and he has been actively involved in ECEDHA, being elected to the board of directors in 2020.
Among the guests at the conference, which includes hundreds of ECE departments from around the country, are James Holloway, UNM provost and executive and executive vice president for academic affairs and professor of nuclear engineering; and Donna Riley, incoming Jim and Ellen King Dean of Engineering and Computing at UNM. In addition to academics, there will also be many participants from the national labs, industry and the National Science Foundation.
