November 15, 2023 - by Kim Delker
The Hand and Machine Lab, based in the Department of Computer Science, is holding a closing celebration of the Hand and Machine Lab’s Experimental Clay Exhibition 4-6 p.m. Nov. 17 in the first-floor lobby of George Pearl Hall.
This exhibition showcases work that was created during a series of artist residencies hosted at the Hand and Machine Lab. During the residencies, artists and researchers worked together, using clay 3D printers to develop new ceramic work and new technologies. The show includes work by resident artists Jeff Suina, Monica Silva Lovato, Camila Friendman-Gerlicz and Jared Tso.
The Hand and Machine Lab is located in Farris Engineering Center and is led by Leah Buechley, an associate professor of computer science, and is supported by the National Science Foundation.
