Vision Statement
This inaugural JEADI Summit serves as a platform to demonstrate the University of New Mexico School of Engineering’s commitment to Justice, Equity, Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEADI) while fostering a culture of humility and responsible action within our community. Guided by UNM’s 2040 vision of Inclusive Excellence and the School’s Strategic Plan, our goal is to advance educational and professional development, cultivating a welcoming environment both within and beyond the classroom.
Our summit is designed to expand perspectives and generate ideas that will guide initiatives to improve school culture for every member of our community. By fostering belongingness, improving access, and broadening participation, we will support the success of every student, staff and faculty member. Individual events will provide participants with opportunities to explore and expand understanding of research-supported concepts. Students will have the additional opportunity to meet and interact with campus staff and local employers who can support their success as students and entry-level workers.
