Engineering students win at Grand Challenges Team Research Symposium

Three students from the School of Engineering were grand prize winners at The University of New Mexico Grand Challenges Team Research Symposium held this month.
The three students won in the undergraduate student team research concept competition for “Artificial Photosynthesis.”
Winners were:
Lena Hoover, Chemical and Biological Engineering
Priya Bhakta, Electrical and Computer Engineering
Lana Hoover, Mechanical Engineering
The symposium, presented by the UNM Interdisciplinary Science Co-Op, featured 163 attendees from around the world, 50 presenters from around the country, and 19 sessions. The mission of the event was to bring faculty and students across campus together to exchange ideas and promote more productive research teams.
