Navarrette selected as interim manager of advising

Krista Navarrette has been selected as the interim manager of advising for the UNM School of Engineering. Her appointment begins Oct. 1.
In her new role, she will oversee all of the School’s student advisement efforts, working with the academic advisors in each department in conjunction with each department’s department administrator. She also works closely with UNM Information Technologies to develop and improve the School of Engineering application process.
In addition to her role as an interim manager, she is also a senior academic advisor for the Department of Nuclear Engineering, and the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. She is also the UNM Wellness Ambassador for the School of Engineering.
Navarrette joined the School of Engineering in 2017 as an academic advisor in the Department of Nuclear Engineering, and the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering after working a few years in the College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a bachelor of arts in media art from UNM and a master of arts in higher education with a specialization in student affairs from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
